Research Experience
Differential Debugging Framework for ML Model Versions
Duration: Fall 2023 β Present Supervisor: Dr. Wei Le Affiliation: Program Analysis & AI Lab, Department of Computer Science, Iowa State University
Researching methods to debug and analyze inconsistencies across different ML model versions by leveraging differential testing and invariant learning. This work aims to detect regressions in reliability, fairness, and numerical stability introduced during model evolution.
Floating-Point Arithmetic Across Compilers
Duration: Summer 2024 β Fall 2024 Supervisor: Dr. Ignacio Laguna Affiliation: Parallel Systems Group, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
Investigated numerical differences between NVIDIA and AMD GPUs under various compilers to identify cross-platform floating-point inconsistencies. Developed tools to compare computations at scale for high-performance computing and AI workloads.

Proposed a system to reconstruct 3D scenes from multiple static CCTV cameras for surveillance and smart city applications.

Role: Computing Graduate Intern Group: Parallel Systems Group Duration: May 2024 β Aug 2024
Key Project:
- Cross-Platform Floating-Point Precision Analysis Investigated numerical discrepancies between NVIDIA and AMD GPUs across different compiler toolchains for HPC and AI workloads. Developed automated comparison tools for detecting floating-point inconsistencies at scale, improving cross-platform reliability. This work resulted in the paper: βTesting GPU Numerics: Finding Numerical Differences Between NVIDIA and AMD GPUsβ (arXiv 2024).
